Not many artists have researched as much into engraving as Antoni Clavé has. His works on paper have many textures that the artist would achieve adding matter to the plate (carborundum is done by adding metallic powder to the stone to get a creased texture on the paper) or putting objects directly on it so the form of them would be stamped (embossing).
