This decollage technique created by Rotella is really attractive. Not only for the images used, which are quite popular, following the Pop Art guidelines, but because for what it evoques. The paper torn apart alludes to savage, aggressive and the pleasure of destruction. A certain sensual feel of power lies beneath these works.

The drama "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" was intended to be filmed in black and white as this was the standard practice for artistic movies during the 1950's, but director and writer Richard Brooks insisted in filming it in colour. The reason? The cast, Paul Newman and Liz Taylor, had the most beautiful blue eyes in Hollywood and the audience couldn't miss those looks.
