Maravillas con variaciones acrósticas en el jardín de Miró III
Date of creation: 1975
Media: Gvarro paper
Size: 49,5 x 71 cm
Lithograph on Gvarro paper plate signed. Edited by Polígrafa, Barcelona, in 1975. Referenced in Patrick Cramer's catalogues raisonnés "Joan Miró. The Illustrated Books" (Cramer, Geneva, 1989) and "Joan Miró. The Lighographer V, 1972-1975" (Maeght, Paris, 1992).
The verses written by Rafael Alberti and illustrated on this series by Miró are, as a matter of fact, inspired by the life of the painter and his partner Pilar. The poems recreate an imaginary garden full of evocative flowers such as roses or lavenders where butterflies, crickets and ants live.
